ネクタイ達が揃って泣いています。
ポップコーンを頬張りながら泣いています。

何故泣いているのでしょうか？
何かを見て泣いているのでしょうか？
ポップコーンが好きなんでしょうか？
ポップコーンがあまりに美味しくて
泣いているんでしょうか？
それともめちゃくちゃ辛い
ポップコーンなんでしょうか？
ポップコーンを食べながら泣いている
ということは映画でも観ているのでしょうか？

「え？ただの黒ずんだネクタイが沢山あって
ポップコーンばら撒いただけでしょ？」
そう見える人もいると思います。
間違ってはいません。
それもまた現実です。

The ties are all crying together.
They’re crying while clutching popcorn.

Why are they crying?
Are they crying at something they’re watching?
Do they simply love popcorn?
Is it so delicious it moved them to tears?
Or is it unbearably spicy popcorn?
Crying while eating popcorn…
Are they watching a movie, perhaps?

“Wait — isn’t it just a bunch of darkened ties with popcorn scattered around?”
Some people might see it that way.
They’re not wrong.
That, too, is reality.
