ネクタイの起源を辿れば
それは男性の文化です。
現代では制服やファッションとして
女性の着用も珍しくありませんし、LGBTQ然り、
もはや性別は関係なくも思えます。
でもやっぱり
「ネクタイ＝男性のもの」
それは歴史が物語っています。
その歴史をタイムマシーンで遡って
もしもネクタイを女性のものとして発展させたら
・・・という考えから産まれた作品です。
ピンク地はウール100%
ゴールド地はシルク100%
装飾パーツは全てスワロフスキークリスタル
ドットは全て手刺繍
総じて優雅でゴージャスで自由
結んで首元まで締める必要もないですね。
Tracing the origins of the necktie,
it is fundamentally rooted in male culture.
Today, women wearing ties as part of uniforms
or fashion is no longer unusual,
and with LGBTQ perspectives as well,
gender may seem less relevant than before.
Still, the association of “tie = men”
is something history continues to suggest.
This work was born from imagining:
What if we could travel back in time and see neckties develop instead
as a women’s cultural form?
The pink fabric is 100% wool.
The gold fabric is 100% silk.
All decorative elements are Swarovski crystals.
Every dot is hand-embroidered.
Overall, it is elegant, glamorous, and free.
And there’s no need to tighten it around the neck at all.
